*Apply for Vanderbilt and YODL Nationals (and any
plane travel tournament) confirming the following:
--Confirm you have a Passport OR an Enhanced Driver
License ID and know that there is 1 day travel before and after these
tournaments and you know you may not check-in baggage unless you have an ada reason to do so (you must carry all luggage in small
suitcases/backpacks into the plane)
--Confirm that you've judged or that you will judge at su elem/ms/hs tournaments before the start of the tournament. Each
regional (van) trip requires 1 day of judging. Each national (plane) trip
requires 2 days of judging. SU IV participation can count for the 2024-2025
year.
--List the tournaments you have competed at or that you
will compete at before the plane travel tournament happens. We would normally
expect an absolute minimum of 3 local/online tournaments prior to traveling by
plane.
--Confirm you've attended at least 2/3 of practices
during the previous 2 months of debate meetings/practices.
--Confirm that you have completed Topic Prep Debate
Practice Sessions.
--Concisely and briefly explain the work you have done
to help others on the team
--Confirm you've been a supportive teammate and
speech-debate community member
Understand that we have a limited budget and so we can
only afford to send so many to plane ticket tournaments. That means not
everyone that can go to plane ticket tournaments even if you meet the above
standards. So, we ask and will make decisions also based on:
--List out any awards/high rankings you have received
especially this year
