Step 2: What kinds of comments can I make to help the debaters?

· Give ideas for drills:

“You need four step refutation drills”

· Give ideas for theory that they need to work on:

“You should work on your understanding of criteria.”

· Give ideas for arguments/strategies:

“You should try to argue that the value is bad, not just that it isn’t so important.”

“Your point about the harms of drug testing were good but you need to link them to your value of the importance of privacy.”

· Give ideas for research.

“You should research arguments showing drug testing is not that intrusive of privacy.”

· Give ideas for speaking more effectively.

“You should speak more clearly; it was hard to understand you.”

“You should speak less loudly.”
